quote from reviews:
" Just going past 3 or 4 on the "sustain" brings you straight into the depths of ferocious shoegaze/noise-rock territory. By 10, the entire sound is subsumed in gnawing static. Chords? Forget about it, they're gnarled, atonal explosions. Leads and single-string runs sound insane. To be honest it's absolutely incredible. Not even Hendrix at his most ferocious ever used this harsh of a sound. So to me it's interesting that Fender created this so early, it's way ahead of it's time. Forget Loveless, this thing takes you straight into the most abrasive moments of Isn't Anything. Swans even. Amazing, one of a kind pedal that I feel very lucky to have snagged. Needless to say if you aren't into extreme, unpredictable fuzz there's no real reason to get this. It can be dialed back but still retains a fairly biting, metallic character even at the lowest settings. Nothing velvety or creamy here. If there's any downside it's that the pedal still adds quite a bit of gain even when disengaged so it's probably better suited to the studio than live."
